Coaching

Coaching is about fulfilling and reaching your goals, putting your plan into action, and by integrating the changes you have made we can help you learn how to perform better.

In a supportive and encouraging way, we build on your motivation to change and help you integrate changes into your life as a whole.

So why would you come to see us?

Coaching does not include providing advice but focuses on developing internal strengths and abilities and making sought after changes. The Coach does not need to have direct experience of your formal occupational role, but they will have a sufficient understanding and will be quick to learn the language. A Coach will help you learn how to perform better.

While there are many different models of coaching, we are not considering the “coach-as-expert” model, but instead we see ourselves as facilitators of learning. There is a huge difference between teaching someone and helping them to learn. In coaching, fundamentally, the coach is helping the individual to improve their own performance, helping them to learn.

Together we can help you identify and define your goals and expectations. As a coach we can provide feedback and guidance in your way to achieve those goals and help you learn how to improve your performance. We can monitor and evaluate your performance as go you.

Coaching sessions are generally more structured in nature than counselling or psychotherapy sessions, but appointments can similarly be scheduled on a regular basis. Together we will set the agenda and agree on the focus of each session, this will help you move towards achieving your goals.
